UPDATE: OSAA PHYSICAL FORM IS NOW REQUIRED FOR ALL GYF AThletes
 

All football players and cheerleaders must have a completed OSAA Physical Examination Form physically signed by a doctor or nurse practitioner. NO stamp signatures. This is the only form we can accept for TVYFL.

  • The physical exam date will need to cover for the entire football season period
  • Physical exams are valid for two years from the exam date

TACKLE SEASON INFO


Tackle Season: August to October or early/mid November for playoffs & championships

Glencoe Youth Football currently offers Rookie Tackle for 3/4 and 11-Man Tackle for 5/6 & 7/8. 

Grade Levels:

  • 3/4 (3rd & 4th graders)
  • 5/6 (5th & 6th graders)
  • JV (7th graders)**
  • Varsity (8th graders)**

** Note: Depending on the numbers, we may have a "blended" 7/8 team instead of dedicated 7th and 8th.

Practice Days: 4-5 days in August, 3-4 days once school begins

Practice Times: around/between 5pm-8pm

Practice Location: Evergreen Middle School Grass Fields or Glencoe High School Turf Field 

Game Days: Saturdays

Game Length/Time: 2 hours, anytime between 9am-7pm

Game Arrival/Warm-up Time: 90-60 minutes prior to game time

Game Home Location: Hare Field on Grant Street

Cost: $300 for Tackle Registration Fee and a $125 Volunteer Fee**

REGISTERING SIBLINGS FOR TACKLE?

We offer a $100 off tackle sibling discount.  Prior to registering two or more for tackle football, please contact our registrar, Angela Finegan to get your personalized discount code. This code will be verified for tackle registration use only. You will need this code BEFORE you begin the registration process. 

This discount code is only valid before completing the registration payment. It cannot be added after or adjusted once registration is submitted.


PROOF OF RESIDENCY

You must reside within the Glencoe High School feeder boundaries or be a current student at Evergreen, Free Orchard, Jackson, Lincoln Street, McKinney, North Plains or Patterson in order to compete for Glencoe Youth Football.

If any student wishes to participate for a TVYFL Member other than where the student resides the student shall be required to have a waiver. The waiver is within the sole discretion of the presidents of the two Members at issue and must be signed by the president of the Member where the student resides and the president of the Member where the student would like to participate. Inter-association waivers must be fully completed and approved. The association president seeking the waiver must notify the granting president no later than July 1st. For players signing up after July 1st the president shall have 72 hours to notify the granting president.

Students attending private school during the Leagues season or students who have an approved public school intra or inter-district transfer may choose the Member that provides the most convenience in consideration of travel and family arrangements. The Student may play in either the Member in which boundaries the student resides or the Member the school street address is in, without any waiver. If the student desires to play in any other Member than as specified here a waiver is required.
