GYF now has 5th/6th grade flag football for 2024 !

We are offering a new flag program this year for 5th and 6th graders! This is available to all boys and girls in our Glencoe community.

All 3rd-6th grade Flag Players will receive a soft helmet along with their uniform (shirt & shorts). Helmets will need to be returned at the end of the season. 

Flag 3rd-6th grade will compete through the Tualatin Valley Football League (TVYFL) while our Kinder-2nd grade will compete against teams in our local partnership.

OSAA PHYSICAL FORM IS REQUIRED FOR ALL GYF & CHEER ATHLETES 
 

All football players and cheerleaders must have a completed OSAA Physical Examination Form physically signed by a doctor or nurse practitioner. NO stamp signatures. This is the only form we can accept for TVYFL.

• The physical exam date will need to cover for the entire football season period
• Physical exams are valid for two years from the exam date
• All players must turn this form in before they can participate or receive their gear.

No form = no practice

Glencoe Youth Football is very excited to offer Flag Football for boys and girls from Kindergarten through 6th grade!!  GYF is committed to providing a fun, structured and positive environment where kids can be active, while making friends, learning the fundamentals of football and valuable life skills.

ALL KIDS PLAY!
 

There is a maximum of 12 kids per team to ensure that all kids play at least two (2) full quarters.

Practice Days: may be two to three times per week, 1 to 1 1/2 hours, will be determined by the coach

Practice Times: around/between 5pm-8pm *

Practice Location: Evergreen Middle School Fields (behind school building next to the tennis courts)

Game Days: Saturday Mornings

Game Length/Time: 40 minutes with a running clock, two 20-minute halves and a 5-minute half time

Each child is expected to play at least a half per game.

Game Home Location: Hare Field on Grant Street

*Days/Times are general. Specifics will be posted/emailed once finalized and vary by season and coach

Players age and grade as of September 1st determine what group your child will play.
