Certification Instructions

Coaches Requirements and Links

There are 3 basic items that must be completed before you can coach.  Please attend to these things as early as possible.  If they are not completed, you cannot coach!  NOTE: Flag coaches only need to do items #1 and #3.

  1. Register as a Coach on Sports Engine
  2. USA Football Heads Up Training/Certification
  3. Complete Background Check

1) Register as a Coach on Sports Engine

  1. Click this link
  2. Select “2018 Coach Registration”
  3. Complete subsequent form

2) USA Football Heads Up Training/Certification

You must be Heads Up Tackle certified, before you can step foot on a field!  There are 2 options for (re)certifications…either online or in-person.  The choice is up to you.

USA Football also has a lot of other information on their site to help you. 

Returning Coaches – Online
  1. Login to your existing account
  2. Indicate you are still with Glencoe Community Football
  3. Take the Youth Tackle Recertification (GYF will pay for the $10 fee; if it asks you to pay, either pay it and get reimbursed or let us know, as it should not ask you to pay)
New Coaches – Online
  1. Click this link
  2. Create your account (make sure you are associated with Glencoe Community Football)
  3. Take the Youth Tackle Recertification (GYF will pay for the $10 fee; if it asks you to pay, either pay it and get reimbursed or let us know, as it should not ask you to pay)
Returning/New Coaches – In-Person
In-Person Sessions:
  • July 14, 1:00pm - 6:00pm, West Linn High School
  • July 28, 8:00am - 1:00pm, Jefferson High School
Registration Process

New Coaches ONLY: First create a new account  (make sure you are associated with Glencoe Community Football)

  1. Login to existing USAFB account
  2. Click red “visit the clinics dashboard” box
  3. Click “Dashboard” in top left corner
  4. Click “Store”
  5. Search by State or scroll to Oregon and click “Add”
  6. Choose available Oregon clinic of choice
  7. Click “Proceed to Cart”
  8. Click “Check Out”
  9. Enter Coupon Code: GlencoeCF2018
  10. Click “Return to Dashboard”
  11. Email confirmation will be sent to coach

3) Complete Background Check

  1. Click this link
  2. Complete subsequent form
