GYF President / (Interim) VP of Tackle
Do you have a passion for football? Do you enjoy teaching and guiding young athletes? Join our GYF Coaching Family!
Glencoe Youth Football is always looking for great role models for Head Coaches & Assistant Coaches for both flag & tackle teams at all levels. If you are interested in becoming a member of our coaching family, apply via the Coach Registration Sign Up links located on the left.
Many coaches are parents, but the two roles should not be confused. As a coach you are responsible not only to yourself and your child, but also to the organization, all the players on the team, and their parents. Because of this additional responsibility your behavior on the playing field will be different from your behavior at home, and your son or daughter may not understand why.
Don't get caught up in only working with your one or two "all-stars" so that you can win every game. In becoming a coach, you take on the role of educator.
You must teach your players the fundamental skills and strategies necessary for success in their sport. Veteran coaches are an especially good source of help for you. They have all experienced the same emotions and concerns you are facing, and their advice can be invaluable as you work through your first season.
For those planning or want to become a Glencoe Youth Coach for the 2024 season please register now. Registering early will allow us to have a better idea on the number of teams we can form.

GYF strives to provide coaches, both new and seasoned, with all the tools and training necessary to successfully lead our teams.
All coaches are required to attend several clinics and meetings in order to obtain this information.
In addition, all of our coaches are required to be certified through USA Football's Coach Certification Program. This nationally recognized certification provides coaches with additional training, much of it specifically around the Heads Up program.
As a member of the GYF Coaching family, all coaches have access to USA Football's extensive development and training library for additional individual study. We strongly encourage our coaches to take advantage of the opportunity.
Those interested in becoming a Head Coach for one of our tackle teams for 3rd-7th grade will need to go through an interview process conducted by the Board. More detailed information will be available as the season gets closer.
Please apply via link here : TVYFL 2024 Tackle Coach Registration. This registration sign up is for ALL 3rd-8th grade Tackle Coaches
If you have any tackle questions, please contact our GYF President, Elisa Reynoso.
