Attention all high schoolers...we need you! We are looking for any incoming 9th graders and up to 12th grade (or recently graduated) to help officiate at our youth tackle games at Hare Field . We will  provide the training, uniform, & gear.
 

WHO CAN APPLY? 

Incoming 9th graders and above (or recently graduated). No experience necessary! 
 

Officials training Provided

It is mandatory to attend ONE officiating clinic in order to be able to officiate this fall. 

Here are the three options:
-Saturday, July 27, (9 AM to 1 PM) at Jefferson HS
-Saturday, August 10, (9 AM to 1 PM) at Clackamas HS
-Saturday, August 17, (9 AM to 1 PM) at Century HS

After you complete your training, our Officials Director will contact you for availability & scheduling. 

There is an opportunity to officiate at the Jamboree hosted by Hilhi on Saturday, August 24.

Scheduling will be done by our Officials Director. You will officiate games at the 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and possibly the JV & Varsity levels. 

For every home game we host, we need 2 to 4 high school officials.  For this season, we are capping our Officials Registration at twelve (12) total to ensure we have enough officials each weekend.

This year we will have (4) four home games. Saturday Sept 14th, Sept 28th, Oct, 12th & Oct, 26th.

We will try to give you at least two games to officiate on a given Saturday. There could be opportunities to work at other fields, if there is a shortage of officials with other youth associations. You will need to provide your own transportation. 

Game lengths vary by grade levels, about 70-90 mins. You will check in at least 20 mins prior to the game with our Officials Director to get debriefed. 
 

THIS IS A PAID POSITION

You will get paid per game.  You will be trained and get paid for officiating games!

• Level 1 (1st Year): $30 per game
• Level 2 (2nd Year): $35 per game
• Level 3 (3rd Year): $40 per game
• Level 4 (4th Year): $45 per game

You will be paid at the end of the season.

GYF WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH:

A shirt, pants, shorts, hat, rule books, whistle, play counter, and flag/bag.  White hats will be issued a Ready-Ref for each game. You are responsible for taking care of your gear during the season and will need to turn them back in (excluding the whistle & rule books) at Equipment Return Day.
